FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
FIND OUT WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions from those interested in our independent living neighborhood. Read on to find out more about Rolla Presbyterian Manor. If there’s a question we haven’t answered here, contact us today.

When is the right time to move into an Independent Living community?

Seniors often reach a point where they think about rightsizing. Their house may be more than they want or, for some, able to handle. They might start thinking it would be fun to sell the lawn mower and move somewhere maintenance-free. The ideal time to move into an independent living community is when you feel the itch to change things up, but when you are still active enough to enjoy the lifestyle benefits of a senior living community.

What are my Independent Living options?

We offer beautiful one- and two-bedroom cottages.

Do you have additional storage?

We do offer smaller storage areas, or for additional storage, we can direct you to convenient storage units nearby. In addition, we can provide expert assistance in rightsizing. A move of this kind usually requires anticipating future needs and making some tough decisions about furnishings and possessions. In truth, you most likely spend the majority of your time in just a few rooms of your house. We can help you in planning. We’ll work with you personally to ensure the choices you make are right for you and consistent with the way you want live.

How do your fees work? Is it a buy-in or a monthly fee?

Our campus offers an entrance fee with a lower monthly fee option and higher monthly accommodation option without an entrance fee. Monthly accommodation fees begin at $2,200; monthly fees with an entrance fee begin at $1090, depending on the residence selected. Paying an entrance fee up front is like an investment that secures your money and provides an ongoing guaranteed benefit of having lower monthly costs. We recommend you speak with your financial adviser about the best option for you.

How does the 75/25 plan work?

The 75/25 Plan option provides you with the means to preserve personal resources. It is designed to allow for 75% of the money deposited to be refunded to your estate when you leave the community and your residence becomes reoccupied. The 25% nonrefundable portion remains with Rolla Presbyterian Manor to further our mission to provide quality services to residents. If you select the 75/25 Plan, you will pay a lower monthly fee, based on the type of housing and services provided. The monthly fee is subject to periodic review.

Do the monthly fees change for the different size or styles of cottages?

No. The changes made to cottages were completed by previous residents at their expense.

Can I make changes to the Cottage?

Yes, as long as changes are made with approval from the Environmental Services Director. Costs for changes to the cottage would be at the residents’ expense.

Do you offer a meal plan?

Dining at Rolla Presbyterian Manor is a restaurant-style experience where you choose the meals you want to eat. The breakfast menu offers a choice in how you want to start the day. Lunch and dinner offerings include two main course options, or order from our a la carte menu featuring hamburgers, BLTs, grilled cheese, a variety of soups and a selection of breakfast items available all day. A daily soup and salad bar are also delectable options. Monthly fees include breakfast, lunch and dinner every day.

Can I opt out of having the meals and reduce my fee?

Meals are a benefit and not having the meals in the dining room will not reduce fees.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, we allow pets in our independent living cottages. Dogs, birds and fish are allowed upon approval.
